I am a person who likes to keep my lips moisturized all day, so if you are with me for a whole day, you would constantly see me either pull out a lip gloss or a lip balm. To me, that is the only con for this product. You can keep reappling the moisturizing topcoat throughout the day to keep your lips moisturized but keep in mind, the more you apply throughout the day, the more it rubs the actual color and stain off. This is meant to be used after the color coat fully dries. It also comes with a moisturizing top coat, which is just basically a lip balm. It dries pretty quickly on the lips but you still have to let it set on your lips for a couple of seconds for the color to fully stay on your lips. The all-day color coat is basically a lip stain in lip gloss form. If you never tried these before, these come with an all-day color coat. I actually wanted a pink shade but most of the shades that were on clearance were on the red range. I don't know if they changed their formula but I still wanted to try one because of Judy. Since Judy from ItsJudyTime raves about these, I decided to try another one for myself. It dried out my lips and applied dry and patchy. I bought one of these a long time ago (2 years ago) and I didn't love it. I think I bought it for around $5USD and I had an $1 off coupon, which isn't that bad. I am glad I got this cheap on clearance as I would not use again.Hey everyone! If you didn't know already, I recently bought this CG Outlast All-Day Lipcolor in 619 Lingering Spice from the CVS Clearance Sale this year.
I loved the colour and would have loved for this to work, but it just did not. Even without eating, this colour barely lasted two hours and definitely did not look good during this time. This was made even worse whenever I had to eat, which required this to be fully removed, as you couldn't just reapply after eating due to the sandpaper like texture. My lips resembled sandpaper, with red crumbs off product peeling off. This was very uncomfortable to wear, all day my lips felt horrendously dry, with the lip colour fading and flaking off. However, the balm made my lips feel even drier. The balm however did set this and make it last more than an hour. The balm made this bleed more and tended to smear the product around, making it more streaky. I found it odd to have a clear balm to apply on top, as obvously the balm gets covered in red product. This doesn't last an hour without the balm, but the product gets even worse when used with the balm. I found before the use of the balm, this would semi dry but stay sticky in some places. This was really drying, and emphasized cracks in my lips, despite the use of lip balm and lip scrub. The stickiness meant that while this was drying, it would move around my lips and transfer and bleed, then dry streaky. I found this very messy too apply, and very wet and sticky. When I first apply this, it looks super pigmented and a stunning colour. The product has a doe foot applicator, which wasn't really appropriate for this as I found it made the lip color apply very streakily. The lip color has a pleasant fruit scent. I loved the shade which is a classic red, and I found the shade really flattering.
The lip color comes in a simple transparent tube with a white lid.
